Nepalese Sun Washed Mosaic Paper- OliveThis mosaic lokta paper features a charming cobblestone pattern which has been fixed into the paper by the sun. First the natural lokta paper is dipped into a base color of semi-transparent dyes that have been extracted from plants fruits and vegetables native to Nepal. A die-cut pattern is then laid on top of the paper and exposed to the sun. The unique two-tone result is what we call sun washed as the areas exposed to the sun become darker than those blocked.
